The trend of positive business continues in 2019, with a net profit of 5.2 million EUR for the first six months. We owe a great gratitude to our employees and clients, because of the mutual achievement of impressive results. "We are proud to be recognized as the best bank in Montenegro. Apart from good financial results from operations, the bank has been ranked high in corporate social responsibility, and thus invested approximately EUR 280,000 in socially responsible projects in 2018. Also, the bank significantly improved the CIR (Cost and Net Income Ratio), which in 2018 was 51.8%. Such conclusions are based on the fact that in 2018 NLB Banka increased its net profit after tax by 26% compared to the previous year, which made this result the best in the recent history of NLB Banka.
An impressive growth, superior efficiency in business and progress in innovation were visible. NLB Banka got the prestigious recognition as the "Best Bank in Montenegro 2019", from financial magazine "Euromoney" based on the analysis of financial indicators, taking into account the market position, innovations, research, new services, management system and professionalism of employees. Significant novelties from the operations of the Bank were presented by the members of the Management Board, Martin Leberle, Chief Executive Officer and Dino Redžepagić, Executive Officer of NLB Banka. On Friday, NLB Banka presented the business results for the first half of 2019, the first super fast online and viber loan in Montenegro, and addressed the reasons for winning the prestigious award for the best bank in Montenegro for 2019, which was given by a financial magazine "Euromoney".
